  • Daniel Radcliffe Thinks He Would Have Been a Good Spider-Man

Daniel Radcliffe revealed in a recent interview with Metro UK that he had interest in playing the title role in Marvel's upcoming franchise reboot, "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

He said: ‘I would’ve been a good Spider-Man but the boat has sailed on that and I’m very happy to watch Tom Holland do it. He’s fantastic.

Radcliffe added: ‘I love superhero movies.

Although Radcliffe might not be playing Spider-Man, he has cosplayed him. In 2014, he snuck around the San Diego Comic-Con in tights. He did mention that he’d be interested in other parts should Marvel or, maybe, DC make them available. He told Metro: “I’m not sure if I’d sign up for something that was another seven or eight films or 10 years, but a shorter franchise, yeah.”

Since the Harry Potter series concluded, which Daniel Radcliffe spent most of his young life working on, he has found a lot of success in smaller, indie movies, be it playing a "farting corpse" in Swiss Army Man, or being a guy with Horns in the movie Horns. He does show up in the occasional big-budget movie these days. Over the summer he had a part in Now You See Me 2 and last year Igor in Victor Frankenstein, which turned out to be something of a bomb, but was at least intended to have mass appeal. Therefore, it's definitely understandable that he wouldn't want to be so closely associated with a particular role after playing Harry Potter for 10 years.

Maybe that's why he told Digital Spy that he'd love to be in Game of Thrones, only on one specific condition: "If they want to just bring me in and f**king kill me, I would be so happy to do that."

Radcliffe also told us which Disney character he'd love to play, taken from his favourite Disney movie. No, not Fantasia, or Hercules.

"I would have a go at either Panic or Pain, the two little demons that run around Hades," he noted. "I don't know what other actor I would pick, but me and another actor can form a little double team and do that."

Radcliffe was promoting the UK release of his acclaimed new film "Swiss Army Man," in which he plays a magical, talking corpse.

Meanwhile, Holland will next be seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, following his Spidey debut in this year's Captain America: Civil War. The reboot is directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) and also stars Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei, Martin Starr, Hannibal Buress, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, and some guy named Robert Downey Jr.

  • Oscar-Winner Jeff Bridges Joins the Cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle

The series about spies Kingsman will release a sequel named Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges has signed his name into the contract to join the cast recently.

Jeff Bridges, who played The Dude in The Big Lebowski and won an Oscar for Crazy Heart, will appear in the film, he announced on Twitter.

"The only golden circle I want vexing me is the one my glass leaves behind on the table," the image in the tweet says.

Considering Bridges’ on-screen history with alcohol, this is the perfect image to announce his addition to the cast. In addition, this also gives us a hint as to who Bridges might be playing. His character hasn’t been officially named or even described, but we do know that Kingsman: The Golden Circle will see the devastated British spy organization teaming up with their American counterparts known as the Statesman. The American agents just so happen to have their center of operations disguised as a whiskey distillery. If I had to guess, Bridges is more than likely playing the head of the American agents, not unlike Michael Caine in the first movie.

Bridges is just the latest to join it, the sequel already has the talents of Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, and Channing Tatum; alongside the returning Colin Firth, in the role of a (presumably) resurrected Harry Hart. It is already something special with Elton John making a rare turn as an actor. Mathew Vaughn also returns to direct the film.

The spy spoof follow-up to 2014's Kingsman: The Secret Service will see Taron Egerton’s Eggsy head state-side with Mark Strong’s Merlin to work for secret US spy society Statesmen. Statesmen HQ is disguised as a whisky distillery and once there, Eggsy and Merlin will be tasked with defeating the villainous Poppy, Moore.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is expected to release on 16/06/2017.
